The Royal Danish House’s communications department handles daily enquiries from the media and external partners in Denmark and internationally and advises the Royal Danish House and its members in communications and press-related matters. The communications department consists of the communications and press secretary, a communications coordinator, a web editor/communications associate, a secretary, a student employee and an intern.
In connection with the royal family’s official visits at events, trips, state visits and summer cruises, the communications department participates in the planning and drawing up of press programmes and press advisories and in handling the media with the organizers. At the Royal Danish House’s own official arrangements and family events, the communications department is responsible for management of the media and production of press materials and is in charge of the daily editorial work with texts, photos and video for kongehuset.dk, the Royal Danish House’s social media and its intranet. Furthermore, the Royal Danish House’s communications department looks after the carrying out of interviews, TV productions and photographing, and the communications department is also involved in book projects, educational materials, etc.
