Advisory for Editors: Dinner in connection with C40 World Mayors Summit at Christiansborg Palace

When mayors from large cities around the globe gather from 9-12 October 2019 for the C40 World Mayors Summit in Copenhagen, the Crown Prince Couple will host a dinner at Christiansborg Palace on the summit’s second day at 20:00.

Cities leading efforts to deal with climate change are gathered together in October for the C40 World Mayors Summit in Copenhagen to discuss questions about the cities’ role in the global green transition. From around the globe, approximately 80 mayors, 1,500 delegates and thousands of citizens will take part in the summit from 9-12 October 2019, and on Thursday, 10 October, Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and The Crown Princess will host a dinner at Christiansborg.

There will be four media pools, which must be applied for in advance. It is not possible to move between Pool 1 and Pool 2 as well as Pool 3 and Pool 4.

Pool 1 (15 slots): By the entrance to the Green Room, where guests arrive (19:00-19:30)

Pool 2 (30 slots): The Drabant Hall, where the Crown Prince Couple arrive (19:30)

Pool 3 (20 slots): The Balcony in the Great Hall. Tour de table and welcoming speeches (19:45-20:15)

Pool 4 (2 slots): The floor of the Great Hall. Tour de table and welcoming speeches (19:45-20:15)

Meeting time for the media is 18:00 at The Queen’s Gate, Prince Jørgen’s Courtyard, where there will be a security sweep by PET.

An application for accreditation including desired pool assignment, name, media affiliation, title and contact information must be sent to kom@kongehuset.dk by 10:00 on 8 October at the latest.

Accredited members of the media will receive a message about pool assignment by 16:00 on 8 October at the latest.

Those covering the event must bring along their press cards. Access to the Drabant Hall is contingent upon prior accreditation.
