Advisory for editors: Her Highness Princess Elisabeth’s cremation service

Her Highness Princess Elisabeth’s cremation service will take place at Lyngby Kirke on Monday, 25 June at 13.00. The service will be led by former royal Chaplain-in-Ordinary Erik Norman Svendsen.

Princess Elisabeth was baptized and confirmed in Lyngby Kirke, and the Princess will be laid to rest beside filmmaker and director Claus Hermansen, whom the Princess lived together with for many years.

It will be possible for the media to cover Princess Elisabeth’s cremation service outside of Lyngby Kirke, where there will be a press pool by the church’s entrance. The meeting time for the media is 12.00 by Lyngby Kirkestræde at the foot of the steps to the church.

Members of the media who wish to be accredited must send an e-mail including name, media affiliation, title and contact information to the Royal Danish House’s communications department via e-mail address kom@kongehuset.dk by 12.00 on Friday, 22 June at the latest. Accredited members of the media will receive a direct message the same afternoon.
