Press Release: The Crown Prince Couple to take part in business promotional campaign in France

Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and The Crown Princess will take the lead when a large Danish business delegation carries out a business promotional campaign in Paris from 7-8 October 2019. The promotional campaign will be held under the banner “Denmark and France – together for a better life and a sustainable future”.

During the campaign, the Crown Prince Couple will participate in the opening of a business conference, seminars and visits to large French companies and hospitals. Furthermore, Their Royal Highnesses will host an official dinner with guests from Danish and French companies and organizations, among others. 

The objective of the visit is to strengthen the relations between Denmark and France and to support the growth and standing of Danish companies in the French market. 

France is the world’s sixth largest economy. Denmark and France have very close relations and an extensive amount of cooperation in a number of areas dealing with policy, culture, trade and investment. 

France is an important trading partner for Denmark. In 2018, the country made up the eighth largest export market for Danish goods and services.

In addition, the business promotional campaign aims to focus on health, sustainability (especially energy and cities) and Danish lifestyle and to include Danish companies with special competencies in the areas of elder care, life science and “smart hospitals”, energy efficiency and sustainable energy, sustainable cities and Danish lifestyle. 

The business promotional campaign’s target is to create a platform for specific future cooperative efforts that will develop and tailor sustainable and innovative solutions for common challenges. Among other things, the program includes seminars on wind energy investment, urban development, achievement of the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and health as well as visits to some of France’s largest companies and to hospitals and infrastructure projects that match up with Danish areas of competency.
