Press Release: The Royal Danish House gets new treasurer

On 1 July 2018, Dan Folke Pedersen takes over as the new treasurer of the Royal Danish House.

Dan Folke Pedersen comes from a position as secretariat chief at the Danish Agency for Data Supply and Efficiency. Previously, the new treasurer has, among other things, worked as department chief in the Kort – og Matrikelstyrelsen and as a department chief in the Ministry of Employment and the Danish Agency for Governmental Management.

The treasurer of the Royal Danish House looks after the institution’s budget, IT and building maintenance, including the operational responsibility for the Workshop and the supervision of the non-state palaces and properties. Moreover, the treasurer has overall responsibility for the purveyors to the royal court.

Dan Folke Pedersen assumes the job as treasurer from chamberlain Søren Weiskopf Kruse, who leaves the position at his own request to retire. Søren Weiskopf Kruse, Commander 1st class of the Order of Dannebrog, has been treasurer of the Royal Danish House since 1 November 2001, and he has been one of the central driving forces behind the development of the Royal Danish House’s organization. Until last year, Søren Weiskopf Kruse also handled the role of personnel director. In the spring of 2017, this function was handed over to Pernille Flarup, who is now the Royal Danish House’s Director of Human Resources and HR services.
