The Queen and The Prince Consort visit the Faroe Islands

 

Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Prince Consort pay an official visit to the Faroes on the days of 15-18 June 2015 aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. The Faroes’ prime minister, Kaj Leo Holm Johannesen, is the host of the visit.

The Queen and The Prince Consort’s cruise on the Dannebrog to the North Atlantic islands includes an extensive programme, in which The Queen and The Prince Consort will, among other things, visit Suderø, Sandø, Skúvoy, Stóra Dímun and Tórshavn.

Members of the press who want to cover The Queen and The Prince Consort’s visit to the Faroes must send a request for accreditation with name, position, media affiliation, CPR number and contact information to the Prime Minister’s Office, communications adviser Páll Holm Johannesen, pall@tinganes.fo by 12 May 2015 at the latest. 
 

The royal yacht will be escorted by the frigate Triton, which will have a limited number of places for the press. The places will be allotted by the Royal Danish House after the registration deadline, and applicants will receive a direct message by Monday, 18 May 2015 at the latest. Members of the press assigned places on the frigate will be obligated to make gathered material available to other media under the customary prevailing terms.

Any request for space on the frigate must be stated in the e-mail about accreditation.
