The Crown Prince Couple visit Greenland

Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and The Crown Princess together with their four children pay an official visit in Greenland on the days of 1-8 August 2014 with the Royal Yacht Dannebrog.
The cruise includes visits in South and West Greenland.
 

The tour begins in South Greenland in Igaliko, Narsaq, Alluitsup Paa, Nanortalik and Qaqortoq. In West Greenland, there will be visits in Paamiut, Qeqertarsuatsiaat and Nuuk.

Accreditation

Members of the press who want to cover the Crown Prince Couple’s visit in Greenland must send a request for accreditation with name, position, media affiliation, CPR number and contact information to kom@kongehuset.dk by 1 July 2014 at the latest.

The Royal Yacht will be escorted by the patrol ship Triton with a limited number of slots for the media. The slots will be allocated after the registration deadline, and the applicants will get direct notification by Thursday, 3 July 2014 at the latest. Members of the press assigned slots on the patrol vessel will be obligated to supply gathered material for use by other media under the customary applicable terms.

Any request for a slot on the patrol ship must be stated in the e-mail about accreditation.

 
The deadline for accreditation has expired and the slots at the patrol ship has been distributed.

2 August: Visit in Allaitsup Paa and Nanortalik
3 August: Visit in Qaqortoq
4 August: Visit in Paamiut
5 August: Qeqertarsuatsiaat
6-7 August: Private programme
7 August, evening: Official dinner in Nuuk
8 August: Visit in Nuuk

Air travel:
In connection with the Crown Prince Couple’s visit in Greenland, there will be no arranged press travel: airplanes, hotels, etc. However, there will be pre-reserved airplane seating on 31 July for the travelling members of the press who are assigned places on the patrol ship.
 
Situation on the patrol ship:
Press members who are assigned places on the patrol ship can overnight on the vessel from 31 July until 6 August, after which they will be responsible for their own lodging arrangements in Nuuk.
The cabins are two-berth cabins with single bunk beds.
 
There is no Internet connection in the cabins, but daily access to the Internet will be established in the messes. The connection is reasonable, but specific periods may be designated for guest use so that the ship’s daily operation can be carried out. The connection is via satellite.
 
The price for the stay on the ship is 150 DKK per day – board is included. 
 
The patrol ship follows the Royal Yacht during the period of 1 August – 5 August, after which the patrol ship sails to Nuuk.
