In connection with the Danish Emergency Management Agency’s “Learn about fire” campaign, HRH Princess Marie takes part in a fire prevention exercise at Tønder Primary School tomorrow.

As a part of the campaign, school students across the country learn to handle fire with caution and common sense, and in many places the schools join forces with the municipal fire-fighting services to teach children about fire prevention.

On Thursday, 4 October 2012, Princess Marie participates in a fire prevention exercise at Tønder Primary School, where students from the school’s 4th and 5th grades will show what they have learned to prevent fires. Among other things, the Princess and the students will try to put out a small fire together with a fireman from the Tønder Fire Service.

Princess Marie is affiliated with the Danish Emergency Management Agency, and she herself has undergone training in fire fighting in connection with her introductory education in the Danish Emergency Management Agency in 2011.
