Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince Consort will visit Washington and New York on June 6th-11th, 2011.

 

The program of HM the Queen and HRH the Prince Consort will primarily focus on cultural and trade promoting activities.

 

In Washington HM the Queen and HRH the Prince Consort will attend the premiere of the Royal Danish Ballet at the Kennedy Center, meet with Denmark’s Honorary Consuls in the United States, and visit the Museum of American History. In addition they will attend several events with Danish companies.

 

In New York HM the Queen and HRH the Prince Consort will attend the Danish American Society Gala at the Museum of Natural History, where HM the Queen will be honored with the title of “Person of the Year”. They will also visit the UN Headquarters, and attend a celebration of Danish design at the Museum of Modern Art.

 

On June 11, HRH the Prince Consort will continue to Solvang, California to attend the city’s 100th anniversary. In addition HRH the Prince Consort will visit Stanford University and Innovation Center Denmark in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley.
