HRH The Crown Prince will lead an official Danish trade campaign in Lithuania together with Minister for Climate, Energy and Building Martin Lidegaard from 8 – 10 October 2013.

During the trade push, which takes place during Lithuania’s EU Presidency, The Crown Prince and the minister will participate in a number of business-oriented and cultural events with the aim of focusing on Denmark and promoting Danish commercial interests in Lithuania. The programme focuses on the energy and food products sectors as well as information and communications technology. Together with Lithuania’s President Dalia Grybauskaite, The Crown Prince opens a Business Forum and takes part in the opening of “Danish Days”, which will be held in the shopping centre “Panorama” in continuation of the trade campaign. The participating companies from Denmark will meet relevant partners from Lithuania at the Business Forum and at seminars and B2B meetings.

The cultural part of the visit includes the opening of the exhibition “Interrelations” with modern Danish art, including installation art, at Lithuania’s Academy of Arts. There will also be a visit to the exhibition “A Modern Royal Household” about the restoration and the artistic decoration of Frederik VIII’s Palace, which is on display at the newly-opened Vytautas Kasiulis Art Museum.

During the visit in Lithuania, The Crown Prince will, moreover, pay a visit with President Dalia Grybauskaite and meet with a number of ministers, including Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius, and the mayor of Vilnius.
