HRH The Crown Prince presents the IOC Trophy to the Danish Orienteering Federation tomorrow for the project "Find vej i Danmark" ("Find your way in Denmark").

The International Olympic Committee, in co-operation with the Sports Confederation of Denmark, each year awards a prize known as the IOC Trophy to a recipient that has distinguished itself within the IOC’s annual theme, which in 2013 is "Sport and sustainable development".

The Danish Orienteering Federation’s project "Find vej i Danmark" is getting the prize, which consists of a statuette and a 5000 DKK grant. The prize is awarded by The Crown Prince in his role as a member of the IOC and by Sports Confederation of Denmark chairman Niels Nygaard.

"Find vej i Danmark" provides opportunities to combine nature experiences and motion at more than 150 green recreation facilities in Denmark. On "Find vej i Danmark" Day, 13 April, there are 43 similar events. The prize presentation ceremony, which is a part of the event "Find vej i Eghjorten", takes place at Naturlegepladsen Eghjorten, Jespervej 309, Hillerød, at 13.00.

On "Find vej i Danmark" Day 2012, there were more than 3000 participants, including TRH The Crown Prince, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, who opened the "Find vej i Danmark" orienteering race in Bistrup Hegn, Birkerød.
