The Crown Prince Couple visits the exhibition Sculpture by the Sea at Bondi Beach. The exhibition, which consists of more than 100 sculptures made by artists from Australia and across the world, is staged on a 2 km long coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama.


Opening of “Curating Cities: Sydney-Copenhagen”

The Crown Prince Couple arrives at Customs House and participates at the launch of the innovative arts project “Curating Cities: Sydney-Copenhagen” which shows how creative strategies can be used in the development of urban sustainability. Danish and Australian artists participate in the project and present their solution about reducing carbon in the urban environments.

The Crown Prince Couple participates in luncheon with Danish and Australian business representatives at Naval Museum, Garden Island.

The Crown Prince Couple opens the Danish export and culture promotion “State of Green – Join the Future. Think Denmark” at Hotel Sofitel.

The Crown Prince Couple participates in a meeting with Premier of the New South Wales, Barry Robert O’Farrell.

On the occasion of the promotion the Crown Prince Couple participates in selected export promotion activities at Hotel Sofitel, where Danish Agriculture and Food Council’s demonstrate Danish gastronomy with the Danish chef Rasmus Kofoed.

The Crown Prince Couple participates in luncheon at Hotel Sofitel with members of the business delegation. The company PowerSense A/S receives the Danish Export Associations Honorary Diploma and HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honor.

The Crown Prince Couple visits Denmark House which presents Danish design, art, film, literature, music and gastronomy. Denmark House was founded in 2009 by Den Danske Klub and is home for Den Danske Skole in Melbourne, the Danish club Dannebrog and the fund Dannebrog Fonden. During the visit the scholarship Dr. Greta Hort Dannebrog will be presented.


Opening of Corporate Culture showroom

The Crown Prince Couple participates in the opening of the furniture company Corporate Culture’s showroom, where Danish design furniture and lightening are presented to the Australian market. On this occasion the company Corporate Culture receives the Danish Export Associations Honorary Diploma and HRH Prince Henrik’s Medal of Honor.

The Crown Prince visits George Weston Food which is one of Australia’s and New Zealand’s leading food companies. During the visit new maschines that process Danish pork will be presented, followed by a tour in the processing plant.

The Crown Princess visits Pakenham Springs Primary School, which focuses on natural ventilation and improved indoor climate.


Inauguration of the campaign Summer SunSmart 2011

The Crown Princess participates in the inauguration of the campaign Summer SunSmart 2011 in Parliament House. The campaign is founded by the non-profit charity cancer organisation Cancer Council of Victoria which is the leading organisation within the developement of UV protecting products.

The Crown Prince visits the wind farm McArthur Wind Farm in South Wales, Victoria. McArthur Wind Farm consists of 140 Danish windmills, and is the biggest wind farm on the southern hemisphere.

The Crown Princess visits Royal Flying Doctor Service in Broken Hill and meets employees and board members. Afterwards the Crown Princess visits School of the Air Facility.

Alannah and Madeline Foundations presentation of eSmart System

As patron of the national charity Alannah and Madeline Foundation the Crown Prince and the Crown Princess participate in luncheon with business leaders from Australia and the chairman of the foundation. The Alannah and Madeline Foundation believes that all children should have a safe and happy childhood without being subjected to any form of violence. The meeting will focus on cyberbullying and showcases how the Foundation's eSmart system is helping Australian schools to manage cybersafety.
