The unveiling of the portrait took place at The Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Palace in Hillerød.

The portrait was painted by the Australian artist Ralph Heimans and shows the Garden Room at Fredensborg Palace in the background.

The new portrait can be seen in a special exhibition that includes a number of portraits by Ralph Heimans.  

The exhibition is open until 2 September 2018.
