The Crown Prince Couple visit Poland

On 25 November, 2019, The Crown Prince Couple participate in the marking of the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Poland. This takes place in Poland’s capital, Warsaw, at the invitation of Poland’s President, H.E. Andrzej Duda.

In the autumn of 2019, it is has been 100 years since Denmark and Poland resumed diplomatic relations after Poland re-emerged as an independent nation.  This is to be marked with a visit focusing on Danish-Polish cooperation in, among other areas, defense, energy, trade and culture as well as the countries’ relationship over the past 100 years.

President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda will welcome the Crown Prince Couple at the Presidential Palace, where the President and First Lady will also host a luncheon including representatives of the Polish and Danish business and cultural sectors.

After this, the Crown Prince Couple will, among other things, take part in the opening of a historians’ conference about the Danish-Polish relationship during the past 100 years, pay a visit to the Polish armed forces’ veterans center and meet with Danish and Polish veterans.

HRH The Crown Prince will participate together with the Polish president in a roundtable meeting with Danish and Polish companies on cooperation in the area of energy, with special focus on sustainable energy. HRH The Crown Princess will take part in arrangements focusing on, respectively, the effort against diabetes and the inclusion of persons with disabilities.

The Crown Prince Couple is accompanied by climate, energy and utilities minister Dan Jørgensen and health minister Magnus Heunicke.
