The Royal Family’s Christmas 2017
In keeping with tradition, HM The Queen and HRH Prince Henrik will celebrate Christmas at Marselisborg Palace in Aarhus this year. The Queen and Prince Henrik received the palace as a gift from The Queen’s father, King Frederik IX, in 1967 and have since kept Christmas here for many years.
The Crown Prince Couple travel together with their four children, TRH Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, to Australia and celebrate Christmas with the family of HRH The Crown Princess.
TRH Prince Joachim and Princess Marie and TH Prince Henrik and Princess Athena celebrate Christmas abroad this year. Prince Joachim’s older sons, TH Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix, spend Christmas with their mother, HE Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg.
