State Visit from the Republic of Korea May 2011

His Excellency President Lee Myung-bak of the Republic of Korea and Mrs. Kim Yoon-ok will pay a State Visit to Denmark on 11-12 May.

The purpose of the State Visit is to strengthen Danish-Korean relations. In this context there will be a series of events that will focus on environmental and climatic conditions.
Furthermore the focus will be on the cultural and business relations between Denmark and the Republic of Korea.

Wednesday 11th May

10.40 a.m.
The Presidential Aircraft will be escorted by two F-16 aircrafts from the Royal Danish Air Force.

11 a.m.
HE President Lee Myung-bak and Ms. Kim Yoon-ok arrive at Copenhagen Airport, Vilhelm Lauritzen’s Terminal. They are received by HM The Queen and HRH the Prince Consort as well as members of The Royal Family.
Welcome Ceremony at Copenhagen Airport.
Inspection of the Guards of Honour.

12.20 p.m.
Arrival at Fredensborg Palace escorted by The Royal Hussars to the Palace.

Wreathlaying at the Jutlandia Monument, Langelinie.

Guided tour in the building 8 House, Ørestad.

State Banquet at Fredensborg Palace, the Dome Hall. Official speeches by HM The Queen and HE President Lee Myung-bak.

Thursday 12th may

Launch of Korean-Danish Green Growth Alliance at Eigtveds Pakhus.

11.20 a.m.
Roundtable discussion on Global Green Growth Forum at Eigtveds Pakhus.

11.50 a.m.
Departure to the Prime Minister’s Office in hydrogen and electric vehicles.

Noon
Meeting and conversation with Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen at the Prime Minister’s Office at Christiansborg Palace.

12.50 p.m.
Meeting with the press at the Mirror Hall.

Ms. Kim Yoon-ok’s programme
10.10 a.m.
Visiting Naturcenter Bistruphus. Ms. Kim Yoon-ok will be introduced to the nature center, which is used by children.

Joint programme
5.00 p.m.
Korean Return Arrangement.

Reception hosted by HE President Lee Myung-bak and Ms. Kim Yoon-ok in honour of HM The Queen and HRH the Prince Consort at the Glyptotek. HM The Queen and HRH the Prince Consort, HRH the Crown Prince, TRH Prince Joachim and Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte will participate.

6.30 p.m.
HE the President and Ms. Kim Yoon-ok leave the Glyptotek and drive to the airport.
