Visit to the U.S. - The Danish Monarchy

HM The Queen and HRH the Prince Consort visit the U.S. the 6 – 11 June 2011.

The purpose of the visit is to strengthen the Danish-American relations. In this context there will be a series of events that focus on cultural and business relations between Denmark and the United States.

In Washington HM The queen and HRH the Prince Consort attend the premiere of The Royal Ballet's performance at the Kennedy Center, meet with the Danish consuls in the U.S. and visit a number of Danish companies.

In New York HM The queen and HRH the Prince Consort participate in The Danish American Society’s Gala at the Museum of Natural History. Furthermore they will visit the UN headquarters and participate in an event about Danish design at the Museum of Modern Art.

On 11 June the Prince Consort continues to Solvang, California, to celebrate the city's 100th anniversary.
