Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Prince Consort were wed in Holmens Church, Copenhagen, in 1967. The wedding festivities were held at Fredensborg Palace.
The Queen and The Prince Consort have alternating residence at the royal palaces and castles. During the winter, the Royal Couple lives at Amalienborg while their residence in the spring and fall shifts to Fredensborg Palace. They spend the summer at Marselisborg Palace, at Gråsten Palace and on the royal yacht, Dannebrog, as well as at Château de Cayx in France.
