The Royal Warrants

The Royal Warrant is regarded as a fine mark of quality to Danish trades and industries. The Royal Warrant is granted to one person in the firm usually the owner. The managing director or the chairman of the board is not entitled to call himself Royal Warrant Holder. The company is obliged to submit a new application to The Lord Chamberlain's Office if a change in ownership occurs.

The purveyors are entitled to use the Crown or the Royal Arms along with the Royal Warrant and the company name in their marketing.

To obtain The Royal Warrant the firm has to trade with The Royal Household for a period of 10 to 15 years. The Royal Warrants are widely represented by various deliveries from workmanship, flowers, cars, furs, and wine to sanitary. Currently there are 109 danish and 27 foreign Royal Warrant Holders.
