Press Release: The Crown Prince Family visits the Faroes

Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and The Crown Princess pay an official late summer visit to the Faroe Islands with their four children on 23 - 26 August 2018 aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. The prime minister of the Faroe Islands, Aksel V. Johannesen, hosts the visit, which starts in the capital, Tórshavn.

The Crown Prince Family’s cruise on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog to the North Atlantic islands subsequently offers a wide-ranging program in which Their Royal Highnesses will visit a number of towns and villages in the municipalities of Sunda, Runavíkar, Klaksvíkar, Fugloyar and Tórshavnar. There, the Crown Prince Family will get the opportunity to meet the local people and experience the magnificent green nature, which comprises 18 islands and 1,289 kilometers of coastline.

It will be the first time that the Crown Prince Family visits this part of the Danish Realm together. In the summer of 2014, the Crown Prince Family visited Greenland, where the Royal Yacht Dannebrog took the Crown Prince Couple and their four children to towns and villages in Southern and Western Greenland.
