The beautiful alternating fall colours in the flower decorations have inspiration from Bjørn Nørgaard’s gobelin tapestries in the Great Hall at Christiansborg Palace. The flower decorations consist of large, round flowers in shades of red, pink and purple. It is everything from roses and chrysanthemums to hydrangeas and clematis that adorn Frederik the 6th’s dessert set at the state dinner. HM The Queen has helped in selecting the fall flowers.

The 17 modern gobelins are one of the largest displays of the history of Denmark on tapestries. The tapestries were produced based on designs by the artist Bjørn Nørgaard by the traditional French weaving factories Manufacture des Gobelins and Manufacture de Beauvais.
