Within the past week, Greenland has been hit by several outbreaks of COVID-19, which has necessitated the introduction of a number of limitations in relation to trips and gatherings in Greenland. With reference to this, the Premier of Greenland has requested a postponement of Her Majesty The Queen’s official visit to Greenland. The visit was supposed to have taken place from 24 July until 5 August 2021.

The Queen has expressed her understanding that it has been necessary to postpone the visit to Greenland but looks forward to carrying it out at a later date.
