The portraits of The King and The Queen were taken by photographer Steen Evald in the Great Hall of Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg. The portraits will be used by The Royal House of Denmark in connection with, among other things, official trips, visits and special events as well as by the patronages of The King and The Queen.

In April, the official gala portrait of The King and The Queen was published. The gala portrait is currently being sent out to, among others, Danish embassies and consulates abroad, national institutions and selected Danish sea vessels.

The publication of both the official gala portrait and the newest portraits follows The King’s accession to the throne on 14 January 2024.

The official portraits can be used for editorial news coverage for a limited period of time or by organisations with written permission from The Royal House of Denmark.
