Energy efficiency, climate-friendly farming and biogas are in focus when HM The King leads a Danish business delegation including 38 participating companies in Poland from 31 January until 2 February 2024. First The King took part in the official opening of the Danish business promotional campaign in Poland at the newly built historical museum in Warsaw.

The King gave a speech at the official opening. His Majesty was accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Løkken Rasmussen, Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard and Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Jacob Jensen.

Then there was a a welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace.

The President of Poland, HE Andrzej Duda, welcomed The King to Poland at the Presidential Palace, where there was guard of honour and national anthems was played.

Afterwards, The King participated in a discussion with the President, for which Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen was present. The President hosted an official luncheon for The King.

In the afternoon The King participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which is a memorial for soldiers who have lost their lives for Poland.

Later in the afternoon The Marshal of the Polish lower chamber Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, received The King for a courtesy meeting. Afterwards, the Marshal of the Senate, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, received His Majesty in a courtesy meeting.

The King attended round-table discussions and MoU signings on, first, energy efficiency and, later, biogas.

The diplomatic relations between Denmark and Poland were marked at a Grand Dinner in the Kubicki Arcades at the Royal Palace in Warsaw, where The King and HE The President of Poland were the evening’s guests of honour. At the dinner, representatives from the participating Danish companies took part, as did Minister for Foreign Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen, Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard and Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Jacob Jensen.
