New Private Secretary and Lady-In-Waiting for HRH The Crown Princess

On 8 June, Christine Pii Hansen begins as the new private secretary and lady-in-waiting for HRH The Crown Princess.

Christine Pii Hansen, 44, comes from a position as deputy head of the Department of International Law in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Christine Pii Hansen has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Copenhagen and has been employed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2004, among other things as a member of Denmark’s NATO delegation posted in Brussels. In the period of 2000-2001, Christine Pii Hansen was a legal affairs consultant to TV2 and, from 2001-2004, worked as a solicitor’s clerk and afterwards as a lawyer with the right of audience before the high court. Moreover, Christine Pii Hansen has been appointed to the Danish Refugee Appeals Board since 2014. 

Christine Pii Hansen replaces Tanja Elise Kjærsgaard Doky, who after seven years of employment begins a position as communications chief at Mærsk Container Industry on 1 June 2015.
