The overall aim of an official visit is to establish, strengthen and promote links between the countries, including social, commercial and cultural ties.
Official visits to a country can be carried out by one or more members of the Royal Family. Often, official visits are combined with a business or cultural promotional campaign. In contrast to The Monark’s state visits abroad, most often there are few or no ceremonial elements in an official visit, just as there will be no Danish reciprocal arrangement.
