Kongehusets digitale julekalender 2021.

Behind the former royal palace Christiansborg is The Royal Mews, which consists of two curved, symmetrical side wings from 1746. Here, the Royal House of Denmark’s 13 white horses live. Right now, they’re training to navigate through Copenhagen for Her Majesty The Queen’s big jubilee marking her 50th year on the throne, which takes place in just one and a half months.
In the stable, the members of the Elfin Family hope to secretly stow away and get a lift to Frederiksborg Palace in Hillerød. Because that’s where the Christmas Angel lives – the angel that Elf Father once made a very special agreement with. Under that agreement, every year after a satisfying celebration of Christmas Eve, Elf Father can settle down for a long nap lasting eleven months so that the waiting time for the next Christmas feels shorter. But, at the same time, Elf Father also promised to keep himself updated on The Royal Lineage and the history of the Royal House of Denmark – and Elf Father hasn’t lived up to that part of the bargain. So now, with the help of the other elves, he’ll atone for his guilty conscience and find the Christmas Angel so that they can get up-to-date on The Royal Lineage before the 50th anniversary of The Queen’s accession to the throne.
The Elf Boy is an old Royal House stable elf, so he sees to it that the little cardboard family can conceal themselves in the horses’ harnesses and in the uniforms of the royal coachmen so that it’s easy to get up on the horses unnoticed. Each day, staff members of the Royal Mews take the horses out on coach tours through the streets to train the horses how to move around in the traffic. And the elves have gotten the idea to get the horses to go all the way to Frederiksborg Palace in Hillerød.
